Susie Pye, Counsellor and Coach
I am a counsellor and coach experienced in working with people with a variety of concerns including, for example: relationships, bereavement, anxiety and depression. In counselling sessions we explore how these issues are affecting you, and how they connect to past events and relationships.
Coaching can be a good option if you want to think about things such as stress at work, uncertainty about the future, or developing confidence. I often work with people going through transitions like career change or retirement, supporting them towards a specific outcome, or exploring options.
In addition to my work at the Oxford Community Heath Hub, I have worked for several years as a counsellor with Plaintalking, in East Oxford, and as a coach at the mental health charity Restore. I have also been a volunteer coach and mentor with Refugee Resource. Previously I worked in local government, where I first trained as a coach.
I have a Diploma in Transactional Analysis (TA) counselling. I am an accredited member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and a Member of the Association for Coaching.
