Jayne Wright, Integrative Counsellor
People choose counselling for many reasons: because of current or past experiences, to change old patterns, or because life just doesn’t feel right. Challenges from past or current life events can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, isolation, fear or low self-worth. Whatever difficulties you are facing, it can be helpful to talk to someone outside of your daily life, and I believe passionately that everyone can grow and change, no matter how difficult their situation may seem.
I work with people with wide-ranging of issues such as dyslexia, depression, anxiety, long-term illness, stress, trauma and relationship conflict, and people dealing with life changes such as the menopause or redundancy. I also offer short-term counselling therapy through TalkingSpace Plus, and I work with Victims First Specialist Counselling Service, providing therapeutic interventions to victims of crime. I continue to work as a nurse in the NHS alongside my counselling practice.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on different therapeutic approaches, tailored to each person’s individual needs. The first step is to book an initial session, in which we will explore what you want from counselling and how I might help. We may then agree to explore issues in more depth, for a short or longer period.
